Your Choice Barnet (YCB) workers in north London have resoundingly rejected the latest ‘improved’ pay cut from bosses at the council-controlled company.
The Unison union members voted by 72 percent to reject proposals to only cut their pay by 7.9 percent instead of the 9.5 percent cut originally proposed. The turnout was 75 percent.
Unison branch chair Helen Davies (pc) told Socialist Worker, “This result shows just how fed up our members are. We expect bosses to come back with a substantially improved offer.”
