British National Party (BNP) leader Nick Griffin has won a leadership contest in the party—by just nine votes.

British National Party (BNP) leader Nick Griffin has won a leadership contest in the party—by just nine votes.

Andrew Brons, BNP MEP, won 49.8 percent of the vote compared to Griffin’s

50.19 percent. Just 2,305 members bothered to vote.

Brons said it was “a very narrow margin of victory”.

In a hint at the crisis facing the BNP, he added, “It is vital for unity that all members remain in the party and in their posts.”
