“We are writing to call upon all your readers to come to Bolton on 20th March and take part in a national demonstration against fascism and racism.

The overwhelming reaction of Bolton’s community is one of disgust and distaste at the idea that these thugs, posing as patriots, should come anywhere near this multicultural and working class town.

These people must be stopped. But Bolton cannot do this on our own. The EDL mobilises nationally. We must do the same to put a stop to them. We are many – they are few. We will not allow any repeat of the EDL’s horrific behaviour in Stoke-on-Trent last month, when they went on the rampage against Asians.

Bring yourselves, your union and community banners, your workmates, neighbours and families to stand with us on 20 March.

All out for Bolton!”
