The ongoing CWU dispute in Bridgwater, Somerset, was set to escalate as more than 100 workers were set to strike on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Workers in Bridgwater have been on strike twice against planned job cuts and allegations of bullying.

They are also owed around £800 each from bosses.

Workers are angry that managers have been scabbing and driving scabs through picket lines in blacked out minibuses.

The CWU was in a meeting with Royal Mail on Monday of this week.

Dave Wiltshire, branch secretary of Bristol CWU, told Socialist Worker, “Our position is still the same. They still owe us the money.”
