Former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf has said that the British government gave “tacit approval of whatever we were doing” when torturing British citizens as part of the “war on terror”.

MI5 knew that British subjects were being held and provided questions for their torturers to ask them.

Binyam Mohamed, a British citizen born in Ethiopia, was one of those tortured in Pakistan.

Musharraf’s words are yet more evidence that the British state is up to its neck in torture.
