Hundreds of drivers from the East London Bus Group (ELBG) met last week and agreed to support their Unite union’s call for a strike ballot if pay cuts are tabled.
ELBG wants to save £17 million in the next six months. It has asked the union to talk about cuts. The union is refusing because, as a rep said, “We are not here to slit our own throats.”
