Up to 150 activists came to the Campaign Against Climate Change (CACC) trade union conference last Saturday.
Workshops included organising at work and building internationally.
CWU union deputy general secretary Tony Kearns said, “a million green jobs is a simple idea. Markets can’t solve this problem.”
Manuel Cortes from the TSSA union, “It’s about changing the way we organise the economy.” He asked climate activists to support coming rail strikes.
Jonathan Neale, secretary of CACC, said, “World leaders have decided to do nothing – it’s up us to save the planet.”
