Strike votes

Workers in three unions at Sussex university backed strikes in indicative ballots.

Some 85 percent of Unison members voted yes on a 75 percent turnout in an indicative ballot. This follows votes in Unite and UCU.

The ballots were over the outsourcing of 235 jobs.

Between 40 and 50 workers attended a meeting for all three unions last Friday. Union officials said they would look into organising official ballots.
