Court ruling due for civil service

The PCS civil service workers’ union was still awaiting the result of its judicial review into the government’s attacks on redundancy payments.

The cuts are a move to make it cheaper to sack thousands of workers after the election.

Whatever the decision, PCS members will need further concerted action to defend services.
