Some 4,000 workers in 373 Crown Post Offices (CPOs) are set to strike across the country for two days over the bank holiday weekend.
Walkouts will take place nationally on Saturday of this week. Workers in Scotland will strike again on Monday of next week, and in England, Wales and Northern Ireland on the Tuesday. These will be the tenth and 11th days CWU members have walked out against plans to close or downgrade 75 CPOs.
Gary, a CPO worker from Waltham Forest, north east London, told Socialist Worker, “The mood is solid. The battle lines have been drawn and people will see it through to the end.”
