Basildon District Council is set to meet on Monday of next week to decide whether to serve 28 days notice of eviction on Travellers at the Dale Farm site.
Travellers have lived at Dale Farm since the 1970s and they own the land. An eviction notice would be a major attack on them.
Activists will meet at 2pm on Monday of next week at Dale Farm to plan their response.
There will be a protest at 6.30pm outside the Basildon District Council office, Towngate Theatre, St Martin’s Square, SS14 1DL.
