The leader of the fascist British National Party (BNP), Nick Griffin, thinks that Islam is a “cancer” that must be removed by “chemotherapy”.
Griffin says he agrees with a candidate of the Flemish far right party, Vlaams Belang, who said, “We urgently need global chemotherapy against Islam to save civilisation.”
The call for the elimination of Muslims is a chilling echo of Hitler, who used advanced technology to commit genocide, killing six million Jews.
Since Griffin’s election to the European parliament last month, he has been holding talks with other far right parties from across Europe such as Vlaams Belang and Jobbik, from Hungary.
The Hungarian fascists have a paramilitary wing, the Iron Guard, which carries out attacks on Roma gypsies and spews out antisemitic filth.
On 15 August the BNP is holding its “Red, White and Blue” festival in Derbyshire. Britain’s fascists are desperate to present themselves as a respectable political party.
Yet Griffin’s comments on the need to eliminate Muslims, which follows his call to sink boats bringing asylum seekers and migrants to Europe, reveal the reality behind this façade.
Assemble 9am, 15 Aug in Codnor, Derbyshire
