Doctors in the BMA union are being surveyed to ask whether they would be prepared to strike.
The survey asks whether the government’s pensions offer should be accepted or rejected. It asks whether they would take action, “including strike action”. There is also an option for action short of a strike.
The BMA is holding regional meetings to discuss the issue. Up to 300 were set to gather in Newcastle this week.
