Workers at the Dover Harbour Board are set to demonstrate this Saturday and to strike next Tuesday to demand that their jobs are not outsourced.

The workers in the Unite union voted by a overwhelming 84 percent in favour of strike action and walk out for 48 hours next week starting at 7am on Tuesday.

The port’s chief executive has said they are not prepared to negotiate on their plans to outsource work.
