Bus workers at First Aberdeen have voted overwhelmingly to reject two pay offers from management and to resume strike action.
The workers, members of the Unite union, will now hold a series of strikes targeting rush hour periods. Next week their action will hit a conference of oil executives due to meet in the city.
Unite members rejected two deals – one which was a 1.7 percent rise funded through shift changes, and another which would have seen a pay freeze this year and a 2 percent rise next year.
Workers have threatened an “autumn of discontent” if bosses don’t listen to their demands.
