Thousands of further education lecturers in the UCU union will be taking part in a national ballot over pay after rejecting a 1.5 percent pay offer.
If workers vote yes, the first day of strike action would take place on 10 December, followed by a two-day and three-day strike in January.
The ballot is due to start in the next couple of weeks.
Union activists need to make sure their branch membership details are up to date and organise union meetings to build the yes vote.
Posters and leaflets will be available from the UCU website. Go to » www.ucu.org.uk
