There was standing room only at a public meting in Hastings against the cuts on Thursday of last week.

The meeting voted to set up an umbrella group Hastings Against Cuts. The meeting was addressed by Andy Reid from the PCS union’s executive and Sam Buckley of Hastings trades council, which organised the meeting.

A lobby of East Sussex county council is planned for 7 December (9.30am, County Hall, Lewes)
