Mystery surrounds the decision of the Islam Channel to axe its popular political and current affairs TV show, The Agenda, fronted by well known journalist and anti-war activist Yvonne Ridley.
Viewers have protested in their thousands at the decision by the Islam Channel.
Yvonne Ridley said, “Viewers were not informed about the decision for over three weeks, and we have not been informed about what’s going to happen.
“It is upsetting but I have received tremendous support from all over the world from Muslims and non-Muslims and that is overwhelming.”
Politicians including MPs George Galloway and Jeremy Corbyn have written to Mohamed Ali, the chief executive of the Islam Channel, urging him to reverse his decision, as have several trade unionists, members of the House of Lords, Stop the War, Respect and CND.
