Labour historian Theresa Moriarty gave the annual Sylvia Pankhurst Memorial Lecture on Women and the 1913 Dublin Lockout on Friday of last week.
She told almost 90 people crammed into the Wortley Hall near Barnsley about the role women played as strikers and organising in the community.
During the lockout, Sylvia Pankhurst spoke alongside Jim Larkin at a monster solidarity rally in London’s Albert Hall.
