Lecturers in the UCU union have voted for more strikes over pensions in a survey.

Around 60 percent backed further strikes beginning with a national one-day strike on 28 March alongside other unions.

And over 82 percent backed the decision of the union’s national executive committee (NEC) to reject the government’s pension proposals and keep campaigning.

The NEC is set to meet on Friday to discuss the results and further pensions action.
