The Ukrainian parliament ratified an agreement on Tuesday to receive £500 million in loans from the EU.

Most estimates suggest Ukraine needs £20 billion to stay afloat.

On the same day an International Monetary Fund (IMF) team arrived to assess Ukraine’s economy.

The EU and US are keen for the country to come under the cosh of IMF structural adjustment.

Fascists have broken through into Ukraine’s new government.

The fascist Svoboda party controls the posts of deputy prime minister, ministers of defence, ecology, agriculture and the prosecutor general’s office.

Andriy Parubiy of the Right Sector commanded self-defence forces in Maidan, is now the head of the national security and defence council.
