Station staff on London Underground’s Bakerloo Line struck for the seventh time last Sunday.

Members of the RMT rail workers’ union are fighting plans to cut the number of staff who ask passengers to get off when trains terminate and then check that carriages are empty.

Management wants just one worker to do this, instead of the two who do this currently, reducing safety for passengers and workers.

Workers in the RMT and TSSA unions are in dispute with bosses across London Underground.

The unions have declared a dispute over safety issues, including the closure of ticket offices, destaffing and the use of agency and security staff.

The TSSA’s 2,500 members are balloting for action against the attacks while the RMT is set to announce its plans for action.
