Over 100 parents, children and workers marched in Gosport, Hampshire on Monday of last week to defend SureStart nurseries.
The protest (pictured right) took its “no cuts” message into a public consultation meeting at Rowner SureStart.
Closing 28 centres was said to be necessary to make £6 million of “savings”.
That day news broke that banker Bob Diamond’s bonus was £6.5 million.
