Workers in the Unison union at Middlesex University are balloting for strikes over the threat of 200 job cuts.

The compulsory redundancies could see more than one in seven workers at the university lose their jobs. the union says.

Bosses already boast that staff costs are “one of the lowest in the sector”—but they want to cut even more.

The ballot closes on Friday of this week. The branch plans to coordinate action with the lecturers’ UCU union.
