Unison union activists were outraged to hear that their union leadership had commenced a disciplinary hearing into Yunus Bakhsh, the highly respected health worker and trade unionist.
The hearing, which began on Monday of this week, is taking place as Yunus is busy preparing an appeal against his sacking by Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Trust – despite him having been diagnosed with depression.
Yunus has raised a number of complaints about the procedure that Unison leaders are using to conduct their hearing into his case.
So far, Unison has been unable to provide answers to his questions.
