ACTIVISTS IN the PCS civil servants’ union are gearing up for elections to its national executive. The Left Unity group is standing on a united slate with other groups against the misnamed ‘Moderate’ group who have dominated the union for years.

Every PCS branch will be organising meetings to nominate candidates for the elections. Activists should ensure that their branch nominates Left Unity candidates by 12 May.

The elections for the group executive committees, which run the different areas of the union, begin on 21 April.

The full list of Left Unity backed candidates is available from www.voteleftunity.org.uk
