PCS members who administer the My Civil Service Pension (MyCSP) scheme are fighting to save it from backdoor privatisation.
Their bosses want to turn the scheme into a so-called “mutual”, outside the civil service.
In a ballot of the union’s 250 members across sites in Basingstoke, Cheadle Hulme, Liverpool, Newcastle and Worthing, 77 percent voted for a strike and 87 percent for other forms of industrial action. The turnout was 46.5 percent.
