The Right to Work Campaign has opened up its national conference on 12 February to other national anti-cuts organisations, local groups and trade unions.

The Labour Representation Committee, and a number of campaigns and anti-cuts groups have already taken up the call.

The People’s Convention to build resistance to cuts and austerity will mobilise in support of the student protests over tuition fees and the abolition of EMA.

It will build for the national TUC demonstration on 26 March (see above) and the week of action being proposed by the Coalition of Resistance starting on the 14 February.

The Right to Work campaign is inviting all national and local anti-cuts campaigns and trade unions to jointly organise and run the event.

Confirmed speakers so far include MPs Jeremy Corbyn, Katy Clark and John McDonnell.

Captain Ska—producer of the hugely popular “Liar, Liar”—and speakers from Italy and Germany are also going to speak at the event.

Saturday 12 February, Friends Meeting House, Euston Road, London NW1 2BJ. If you or your organisation would like to be involved in organising the 12 February conference please email [email protected] For information, publicity and to register go to http://righttowork.org.uk/2010/11/peoples-convention
