Tory axeman Eric Pickles showed his true colours with a ranting speech to the hard right Young Britons’ Foundation last week.
Pickles—who is central to driving through council cuts—addressed the group, best known for wanting to scrap the NHS.
He is the communities secretary. He told meeting at the House of Commons that “unless we are vigilant, cigar-chomping Commies” will grab power.
The foundation’s president, Tory MEP Daniel Hannan, has called the health service “a 60 year mistake”.
Tory peer Howard Flight, who last year said cutting benefits for the middle class would encourage the poor to “breed”, also spoke at the meeting.
