Some 200 demonstrators took to the streets in Portsmouth last Saturday, banging cooking pots to protest against austerity.
Portsmouth Against the Cuts Together (Pact) called the march.
Councillors had demanded that protesters pick services to cut to save Sure Start staff.
The response was to march against all the cuts.
