Up to 100 activists took to the streets outside Harley Medical Group in London on Saturday of last week.

The protest, organised by UK Feminista, was against vaginal cosmetic surgery.

Women spent £4.4 million on these procedures globally in 2009.

Harley Medical Group is profiting from the pressure on women to live up to a sexist ideal of the perfect body.

The demonstration was called the “Muff March”, which makes light of a sexist word.

But women on the protest were serious about fighting the plastic surgery industry and women’s oppression.

One popular slogan was, “Harley Street—come off it. Our bodies not for profit.”
