The English and Welsh Defence Leagues are planning demonstrations to whip up anti-Muslim hatred in Newcastle this Saturday and in Cardiff on 5 June.

These racist thug groups are linked to the Nazi BNP.

Unite Against Fascism (UAF) groups in both cities are organising counter-protests.

Newcastle activist Yunus Bakhsh said, “We have flooded the city with leaflets and

posters and organised stalls at key locations.”

Protesters will assemble at noon on Barrack Road, near St James Park. They will march through the city then hold a rally with speakers from UAF, Labour and the RMT union.

In Cardiff, activists are assembling at 11am, Roald Dahl Plass/Oval Basin (adjacent Wales Millennium Centre), Cardiff Bay for a march to City Hall.

Eight union branches are supporting the demonstration—and 70 to 80 taxi drivers are set to strike to join them.

lSome 30 anti-fascists confronted Nazi teacher Adam Walker in Birmingham on Monday.
