Shame of Orange bigots
Real face of Unionism
VIOLENCE, HATRED, causing terror to children. That is the real face of Northern Ireland’s Orangemen and Unionists revealed this week. “Fenian bastards! Animals! Scum, scum, scum!” they chanted at children aged from four to 11 going to a Catholic school in North Belfast.
They waved clubs studded with nails at little children clutching lunchboxes decorated with cartoon characters. Given the opportunity they would have battered and smashed them. The children are hated simply because they are Catholics going though a Protestant area.
The Unionists claim they have been harassed by Republicans. But the reality this summer has been a string of attacks with pipe bombs and other explosives by Loyalist thugs against Catholics. The British government has put the peace process on hold because the Unionists are not prepared to go any further.
They should stop making concessions to the sort of people who terrorised children at Holy Cross Primary School.
