Millions of women will be forced to rely on their partner’s pension when they retire, a survey suggests.

Retired women get £7,000 a year on average less than men due to low pay and reduced years at work due to looking after children.

Almost one in three said their partner’s pension would be their main source of income in old age.

Yet 34 percent also admitted that they don’t know the details of their partner’s pension savings.

More than a fifth are even worse off—they’ll get nothing but the meagre state pension.
