Shocking new figures highlight just who is greedy in Britain. The richest 10 percent of people in Britain spend seven times more than the poorest 10 percent, according to the government’s Office for National Statistics.
In an average week, for example, the rich spend ten times as much as the poor on leisure items. The rich spend £187.50 on activities such as cinema, theatre, television, gardening, holidays and gambling, compared to just £20.20 a week spent by the poor.
