The bosses’ Financial Times newspaper’s How To Spend It supplement rushed out a special “bonus issue” this week, in a timely bid to celebrate the wealth of bankers and other City high flyers.
It’s packed full of imaginative ways to spend large sums of money, listing Grand Carrera Calibre watches at £3,195 and Montblanc fountain pens at just £1,880 among a raft of fabulous trinkets.
With stockbrokers and their friends set to pocket millions of pounds of public money in the weeks leading up to Christmas, Socialist Worker rang How To Spend It if to ask if they had considered an alternative magazine titled, How To Spend Other People’s Money.
Apparently they have not.
