Activists gathered in Conway Hall, London, on Tuesday of last week to discuss the next steps in the fightback against the Tory cuts.

Contributors to the meeting, which was called by Right to Work, included MP John McDonnell.

Alex Kenny, of the NUT union national executive, spoke about the 5,000 teachers and council workers who struck in Camden and Tower Hamlets.

He said, “We saw in a small way what national coordinated action could be like.”

A sacked British Airways (BA) cabin crew and Bassa member spoke about the

long-running campaign against the bosses’ union-busting.

Galloway joins Glasgow meeting

Around 100 trade unionists and anti-cuts campaigners attended a Right to Work meeting in Glasgow last week.

Activists building for the meeting in the city centre were joined by George Galloway, who helped call on people to come along.
