‘Tories beware, we’re coming to get you!’ That’s the message from the Right to Work campaign that has called a protest at the Conservative spring conference this weekend.
Workers, students and unemployed people will gather on Brighton’s seafront to give David Cameron’s wrecking crew a roasting.
They’ll be protesting over the Tories’ plans for a war on the welfare state, mass job losses in the public sector, schemes for new anti-union laws – and much else.
“The Tories stand for their class, we need a fightback by our class,“ says Michael Bradley from the Right to Work steering committee. “We’re determined to build permanent networks of resistance.
“Over 900 people came to the Right to Work conference of resistance and solidarity at the end of January.
“Now we’re having local meetings, backing national resistance, and holding protests like the one in Brighton.
“We need a storm of resistance to the Tories and to Labour when they push through cuts and job losses.
“Join us on Sunday!”
Demonstrate Sunday 28 February, 11am, outside the Hilton Metropole, Kings Road, Brighton, BN1 2FU. For details go to » www.righttowork.org.uk
