Stop the War has called an all-Scotland World Against War demonstration in Glasgow for Saturday 15 March.
The newly elected Stop the War Scottish Steering Committee includes representatives from the trade unions, Scottish CND, the Muslim Council for Scotland, the student movement as well as prominent politicians.
The committee met last week and agreed to call a Scottish march and rally in Glasgow and to build it on the broadest possible basis.
Stop the War Scotland will be inviting Scottish National Party first minister Alex Salmond to speak at the rally.
