ON TUESDAY of last week 150 London School of Economics (LSE) students formed a human chain in front of the main university building in protest at director Howard Davies’s public support for top-up fees.
We marched through our main university building, chanting, with more people joining us all the time. The security team even gave us their megaphone!
We though it appropriate at this point to pay a visit to the office of director Sir Howard. His ivory tower is on the 11th floor and we chanted “Top-up, fuck-up” all the way up!
As he was not in his office, we left him a note signed by all present saying that we’d be back very soon.
