Six Bradford councillors have announced that they are backing the We are Bradford event to oppose the racist English Defence League this Saturday 28 August.
Councillors Naveeda Ikram, Abid Hussain, Sajawal Hussain, Qasim Khan, Rizwan Malik and Mohammed Jamil are all backing the city centre event.
Balu Lad, chair of Bradford’s South Asian Forum, has also signed up in support.
The We are Bradford event is on Saturday 28 August at 12 noon, Exchange Square, Drake Street, Bradford city centre.
