Workers at Stirling council are preparing to strike, according to their Unison union.
Council leaders plan £24 million in cuts over the next four years and are proposing an extra hour on the working week on top of a 1.5 percent pay cut.
Some 1,600 Unison members voted 91.8 percent for industrial action against the bosses’ proposals last month.
Management have already been forced to backtrack on attacks on annual leave and overtime rates.
