Workers at a Superdrug warehouse in South Elmsall, Wakefield will go on all-out strike from Wednesday.
Superdrug wants its staff to sign a new contract agreeing to changes which would see afternoon shift workers – who previously received £2 an hour extra for working unsociable hours between 6pm and 10pm – effectively take an annual pay cut of up to £1,840. The company’s plans would also mean workers faced cuts in holiday pay and sickness entitlement.
