Solidarity: Scotland’s Socialist Movement is standing on the regional lists in the Scottish parliamentary elections. Pat Smith is top of Solidarity’s list in the Lothians region.
Pat said, “We have been very active here and activists have distributed 30,000 bulletins in the last few weeks.
“We have got an election schedule together to plan the campaign. Members will be travelling to Glasgow to help create a buzz around the campaign to get Tommy Sheridan MSP re-elected.
“I spoke at a hustings organised by the Edinburgh Tenants Federation on Wednesday of last week, which went very well.
“Sheila Gilmore, the Labour councillor who masterminded the recent failed stock transfer attempt, got a very rough ride.
“There are a number of other hustings coming up, including those organised by Stop the War, the churches and environmental groups.
“Solidarity has received very good press coverage for all our different meetings and events.”
