Lecturers at the University of Sussex are set to strike on Thursday 18 March.
They are fighting against job cuts.
Their UCU union branch set a record with the turnout in its ballot for action. Some 80.9 percent voted and 76 percent backed strikes.
Students and workers will also lobby a university senate meeting on Wednesday 17 March.
