Unite union members at the University of Sussex have backed strikes against privatisation in an indicative ballot.
The workers voted by 93 percent for strikes on a 70 percent turnout. This follows a result from lecturers in the UCU union there, who backed strikes by 75 percent on a 60 percent turnout.
The Unison union has yet to release the results of a survey of its members at the university.
University management wants to outsource 235 jobs. Students occupied part of a university building for
54 days earlier this year against the plans.
