Over 130 ticket office staff at the c2c train operator in the RMT and TSSA rail unions struck on Monday of this week over holidays.
The dispute is over the company’s holiday policy, which includes only paying staff for bank holidays if they work on them.
The workers protested outside London’s Fenchurch Street station, carrying buckets and spades and playing Cliff Richard’s song “Summer Holiday”.
Workers are demanding the company commits to 28 days’ paid leave. The unions called off a strike two weeks ago. The firm runs services between London and Essex.
