Workers at the Tunnock’s biscuit factory rejected an offer of a 2 percent pay deal on Monday of this week.
Their Unite union refused to recommend the offer and workers were discussing their next steps as Socialist Worker went to press.
Workers at the firm in Uddingston, South Lanarkshire, staged two 24-hour strikes at the end of last month. They are fighting against below-inflation pay offers, which in effect would cut their pay.
Picket lines were big and militant and won support from other trade unionists.
Workers are furious that managers awarded themselves a 64 percent pay increase.
The factory employs 500 staff and has an annual turnover of £36 million.
