Members of the UCU lecturers’ union at Nottingham Trent university struck on Tuesday of this week in protest at management threats to derecognise their union.

Jeannie Robinson is the UCU convenor at the Clifton site at Nottingham Trent. “We’ve had around 80 people out picketing across the course of the day at the two sites,” she told Socialist Worker.

“The strike has been pretty solid and we had some solidarity from bus workers who refused to drive the campus bus on its usual route through the site.”
