Union delegates challenge New Labour

DELEGATES AT the post office workers’ CWU union conference last weekend fired a shot across New Labour’s bows.

They voted for national strikes in the event of Post Office privatisation. Anger with New Labour was so great that a substantial minority of delgates voted to consider freeing up the union’s funds to back socialist candidates.
